We enjoyed our final full day in Okinawa with Drew home from his work trip to Vegas and a laid-back morning watching Sunday football (on Monday morning). Mary-Michael pushed for “normal” food, so we ate Arby’s for lunch on base before heading to a popular beach for diving and snorkeling. By the time we arrived to the beach it was very windy and cool, but despite this, we were able to see so many beautiful and colorful fish among the very grand rock formations. We gained our footing by standing on coral when the current pushed and moved us around. It was a lovely spot in Okinawa.
We spent the remainder of the evening packing for all of us to head to Tokyo, eating dinner and seeing the buildings Drew manages as the Squadron Commander for Contracting on Kadena. It made us proud to see his name outside the building and headshot in the buildings. Aren’t you thankful for our men, women and families in the Armed Forces?
Tokyo, here we come!
Our abode in a Okinawa.
