Praying your Easter was sweet and grace-filled. Don't we have so much to be thankful for?
We enjoyed a leisurely Saturday lunch with my Dad's side of the family in Yorktown. It was a beautiful day, and the kids did amazing at a 3 hour lunch right in the middle of their would-be naptime. Thankfully, they had many of us to take turns entertaining, and a window they could stand at to see the water and boats passing by.
I never got a picture of Mary-Michael in her actual Easter dress - a beautiful dress my Mimi sent from Vegas. About 5 minutes before we were to leave for church she spilled red Gatorade down the front. And I don't mean a dribble. I mean half of a 32 oz. bottle. And the dress was not pink or multi-colored, so that the red might fade in. The dress was mostly white. God gave me the sense to just chuckle and run upstairs to find something else. I mean, how can you not laugh? It is Easter after all, and it certainly lightened the day. That, of course, happened after Frazier fell out of the high chair. Poor kid. Thankfully, he was unphased.
After a celebration at church, Geoff's parents, Zach and Christina came over for a low-key Easter lunch and a small egg hunt for the kids. It was very nice, but I did not do a good job at taking pictures of everyone else. They were there, and we were happy to have them with us!
