So, lately, I am dreaming of an uninterrupted night of sleep (actually 4 hours straight would be nice!) and maybe a tropical vacation. But last night I had a low moment, and I actually wasn't dreaming. This really happened. I woke Geoff up in a panic because I couldn't find Frazier in our bed, and I was sure he must be suffocating under our massive down comforter! Help, help! However, Frazier doesn't even sleep in our bed. In fact he isn't even sleeping in our room; he's outside of our room (because he grunts so much), but I could hear him crying, and in my sleep deprived state of mind I was sure he was in our bed, and I couldn't find him!
Thankfully, he was not being smothered by covers. He was in his bed. Outside our room. He just needed to eat, and he was fine. Clearly, it's his momma who's not. Wow, I need some sleep. For now though coffee will do.

Frazier's First Month
Dear Frazier,
Happy one month birthday! Time is flying as it normally does, but we are settling into a new normal with you, our tiniest new addition to the family. You are such a sweet, sweet baby, and you love to cuddle and be held. We never wonder if you're hungry or not because as soon as that first sign of hunger strikes you let us know! And speaking of hunger, you eat a lot! Your pediatrician has been amazed at how much weight you are gaining. At 3.5 weeks you were 9 lbs. 14.5 ozs. You had gained 1.5 pounds in only 10 days (from your last appt.)! So, you're chunking up a bit, but you are also getting longer (or taller?!) as you've grown about 2 inches since birth.
You don't mind tummy time too much, and you are just beginning to really hold your head up on your own. You've also found your voice recently and are starting to "talk," which sounds so sweet to your momma's ears.
Your big sister is infatuated with you (thank goodness) and always very concerned when you start crying. Her immediate reaction is to stuff your paci in your mouth, which sometimes actually works. Thankfully, she hasn't attempted to pick you up on her own yet.
You are still waking up a few times during the night, but this is making me really good at taking naps and slowing down, which I've never been very good at. You continue to have regular visitors and Grandma even came down for most of last week to help out. Friends and family have blessed us immensely with meals and breaks since your arrival. It really does take a village!
Frazier, your Daddy and I are already praying for God's plans in your life, and we believe you will be a great servant to Him and those you meet. We love you tremendously and are so glad you're here.
Love,
Momma and Daddy
Tummy time!
One month old.
A regular scene at our house. Mary-Michael loves to lay on the floor with you.

Soul Farms
Scripture says, "Now when you reap the harvest of your land you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. Nor shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit from your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the LORD your God." —Leviticus 19:9-10
Check out our page on Facebook. We are still working on our vision statement but believe the above Scripture will guide us and help us connect with our neighbors, those in need and those we know Jesus would walk with.

Mary-Michael's First Haircut
Mary-Michael had her first haircut (about time at 22 months!) on Friday. She did so well sitting in her Nonnie's lap while Billie cut her hair. She was able to watch Billie cut Nonnie's hair first, which helped her get comfortable. Billie now cuts 3 generations since she does me, too!
Another first this weekend - we had to push 2 shopping carts at BJs to fit both kids and all our stuff. Oh, brother!

Flying Pigs and A New Puppy
Yes, I have completely lost my mind or as I've made Geoff say, "I'm officially the best wife ever." On Saturday I let him come home with 4 adolescent pigs to add to the growing farm and a new puppy. Did I forget we also had a 2.5 week old and 22 month old at home!?
Since there is never a dull moment around the Lawrence household, the pigs have provided quite the entertainment since their debut 48 hours ago. For a while we only had 1 pig as the other 3 lept out of the truck and ran off when Geoff attempted to tranfer them to their new pen. I wish I had my video camera to tape Geoff and my dad try and round up and catch 3 very fast little pigs. They were successful with one, but it took several tries, more help and sturdier fencing to round up the other 2, which didn't happen until the next day.
And then of course the surprise of Sonar, our new Australian Blue Heeler. Named to remind us of the late Radar who was also a Heeler, we are excited to have him join the family. He is spending most of his time with Geoff during the week since I knew I couldn't properly train a puppy and take care of two little ones on my own. So far this is working out well.
Here are some pics of the growing Lawrence herd. If you see me running in the streets with a crazed look you'll understand why.
Geoff's Dad, Doug (our farming partner) and Geoff building the pig pen the day we got the pigs...nothing like putting the cart before the horse.
The Lawrence men.
The tiniest Lawrence man and his Grandma.
Safe and sound in their pen.
The 2 larger pigs are for breeding and the smaller ones...well, let's just say they're named Bacon and Porkchop.
Sweet Sonar.

2 Week Check-up
Besides a little breast milk jaundice Frazier is growing exceptionally well. They hope babies are back to their birth weight by 2 weeks, and he was a pound over at 8lbs. 10 oz. This doesn't surprise me as he is a big eater (and he takes his sweet time while doing so). He's grown a little more than an inch in length, and he's a little over the 50th percentile in his overall stats. Here's a pic from today and a few from last night when we were blessed with another meal from our awesome friends.
16 days old.
Hanging out with his friend Brayden who will definitely teach him all about being a boy!
Relaxing with Philip and Erica.

The First 2 Weeks and Christmas
Well, it's happened - I'm in love with another XY. He happens to be just 2 weeks old and the cutest little boy I've ever known. I've taken more than 350 pictures since he arrived. Granted, we did have Christmas in these last 2 weeks, but still - 350 pictures?! That's a lot. Here are a few (ok maybe more like 20) for you to enjoy.
Sleeping on Daddy's chest.
Practicing sleeping some more.
And a little bit more.
Christmas Eve with Mimi and Poppy.
Caught in the act - blowing bubbles in the house on Christmas morning with Mimi.
Playing with her new laptop from Santa.
All dressed up for Christmas (M&M is wearing Frazier's hat from the hospital).
My very handsome husband.
Uncle Zach gave us TOMS for Christmas - glitter ones for me and M&M and black ones for Nonnie.
Our new family of four.
A visit from the Simmers - Christian gave birth to my dear God daughter, Ann Elise, just 3 weeks before Frazier arrived.
Behind those smiles is fear that we are now mothers to 2 children each!
Lots of cuddle time with this boy. He loves to be held.
All wrapped up after his first bath at home.
More sleeping.
Our two precious gifts.
A visit from my cousin (Blair) and her 2 boys (Colin and Caleb).
Nana meeting Frazier for the first time. Frazier is her maiden name!
M&M is such a sweet big sister (unfortunately, she runs out of some of that sweetness when it comes to dealing with her parents).
Several times a day she says "Momma, sit and hold" which means "Please let me hold Frazier."
A rare moment of being awake!
Meeting Aunt Keesha for the first time.
More sibling time.
