We kicked off spring break on the last day of school before the kids were let out. Geoff was a Watch DOG (dad volunteer) for the day at Frazier's school and we both enjoyed watching the CSPS Field Day.
It was fun to help with Mary-Michael's spring party and bring the games for the kids. Their favorite part seemed to be Benaiah, despite all the candy and goodies.
We were blessed to have my dear friends from college and their 4 girls to the farm for dinner and fellowship on Monday. Christian particularly enjoyed snuggling this one.
A day trip with Poppy is always filled with adventure. We started off early on Thursday and headed west. After buying snacks at the Cheese Shop in Stuarts Draft, we headed to the Green Valley Book Fair, which is a book lover and bargain shopper's paradise. Too many books later, we found a delicious lunch at Grilled Cheese Mania, followed by homemade ice cream at Kline's. Then we topped it all off with a strenuous hike at Sherando Lake. It was a great day!
We spent a few days at my mom and Ronnie's, and when we arrived, we had a wonderful surprise. My step-brother who is currently stationed in Japan came by for a visit on his way home from a conference in Orlando. It was so very good to see him. Benaiah was happy, too.
Cousin fun with Bristol.
Nonnie and Grandad always do a great Easter egg hunt.
There sure are a lot of pictures of this little guy...I need to get better at that.
Leila in the Big Apple with the sons of some friends of ours and the brothers of one of her buddies.
I'm pretty sure this was her first taste of Starbucks.
We wrapped up spring break at an awesome concert with the big kids. We saw Lecrae, Trip Lee and other Christian rappers. We were bumpin' and dancing like we hadn't ever done at a Christian concert before. We all had a blast.
