November Days

Our family small group spent a Saturday before Thanksgiving picking up kids living in the inner city to share a Thanksgiving meal and just spend time with them.

Here we are on the school buses picking up kids. There were a lot of kids and a lot of noise, but our kids handled it pretty well and made a few new friends.

Enjoying the Thanksgiving meal at Celebration Church.

The day before Thanksgiving break, I was able to go with Mary-Michael's class and the rest of second grade to the Science Museum of Virginia. Here's her class.

My group of young ladies to look after.

In front of the very tall Christmas tree at the museum.

On Leila's last day of school before Thanksgiving Break, her school hosted Grandparent's Day. It was a treat to have both my mom and my dad there.

Nonnie love!

All the cousins on Geoff's side, and his siblings, got together for our annual Thanksgiving feast.

The whole clan.

I'm so thankful for these 4 loves of mine.

Keesha, Geoff, Kameron and Melissa - the Lawrence Foursome.

Here we are at ZooLights at the Smithsonian National Zoo.

Uncle Kam and Cousin Jace are so much fun.

Almost every year after Thanksgiving, we attend a big cattle auction about 15 minutes down the road from us. They breed and sell high quality bulls and cows, and our first 3 cows came from this farm. Here are Mary-Michael, Jacey (our farming partners' daughter) and Frazier on the way to the auction in their matching Soul Farms gear.

The Dennisons and Lawrences. We purchased a new bull and two bred heifers (will deliver in the spring) at the auction. We have more than 30 cows now. God is good!

And finally, we wrapped up Thanksgiving at Grandad and Nonnie's house with all the cousins (a total of 11 children). Here a few of them are decorating cookies.
