Frazier's First Month

Dear Frazier,

Happy one month birthday! Time is flying as it normally does, but we are settling into a new normal with you, our tiniest new addition to the family. You are such a sweet, sweet baby, and you love to cuddle and be held. We never wonder if you're hungry or not because as soon as that first sign of hunger strikes you let us know! And speaking of hunger, you eat a lot! Your pediatrician has been amazed at how much weight you are gaining. At 3.5 weeks you were 9 lbs. 14.5 ozs. You had gained 1.5 pounds in only 10 days (from your last appt.)! So, you're chunking up a bit, but you are also getting longer (or taller?!) as you've grown about 2 inches since birth.

You don't mind tummy time too much, and you are just beginning to really hold your head up on your own. You've also found your voice recently and are starting to "talk," which sounds so sweet to your momma's ears.

Your big sister is infatuated with you (thank goodness) and always very concerned when you start crying. Her immediate reaction is to stuff your paci in your mouth, which sometimes actually works. Thankfully, she hasn't attempted to pick you up on her own yet.

You are still waking up a few times during the night, but this is making me really good at taking naps and slowing down, which I've never been very good at. You continue to have regular visitors and Grandma even came down for most of last week to help out. Friends and family have blessed us immensely with meals and breaks since your arrival. It really does take a village!

Frazier, your Daddy and I are already praying for God's plans in your life, and we believe you will be a great servant to Him and those you meet. We love you tremendously and are so glad you're here.

Love,

Momma and Daddy

Tummy time!

One month old.

A regular scene at our house. Mary-Michael loves to lay on the floor with you.
