Frazier at 7 Months

My Sweet Little Man,

What a treasure and a treat you are! You continue to be so full of life and smiles, and I pray that zest and joy is with you throughout your life. You will certainly be a world changer and someone others want to be with!

You are moving and grooving at 7 months with days full of crawling (we've decided if we put a swiffer sheet on your stomach you will eliminate all vacuuming of dog hair!), bouncing in your Johnny Jump-up, chewing anything in sight and making all kinds of new noises. You are especially talkative when your sister is around.

With dance parties being a regular occurrence around our home, you are getting used to being spun around and treated like a puppet, which always makes you happy. You love water - baths, showers, pool - and changing your diaper is getting harder and harder as you immediately want to flip to your stomach when I lay you on your back.

You are starting to like some solid foods. We've tried applesauce, bananas, squash, carrots and potatoes. So far you are a fan of fruit and nothing else. But we have many more things to try, so I'm hoping that will change.

While our days are fun, my most favorite time of day with you is when you finish nursing right before bed, and you snuggle with your sweet face in the crook of my neck. Your soft skin, warm breath and peaceful sleepiness make me so happy, and I treasure that moment.

I've tried to catch some fun moments on video below where you'll see or at least hear your sister wonder aloud when it's her turn or if she can see herself. She is something else!

We love you to pieces dear Frazier!

My 29th Birthday

One more year until the big 3-0!  I am incredibly grateful for my sweet, loving family and a husband that challenges me and reminds me regularly that life is not a dress rehearsal, so we need to live and embrace it fully. He really is the best.

We enjoyed a nice family weekend on the Bay where we celebrated my Mimi's 80th birthday (a day after mine) and had lots of delicious food and drink. The kids enjoyed themselves and were just plain worn out by Sunday morning!

And we received an unexpected, prayer-answered gift of a trip to Niger, Africa in September of this year (yes, that would be just 2 months away!). I can't wait to spend some time with the missionaries there and experience the country that has impacted Geoff in such a tremendous way.

Goodness, I love these two.

Daddy and daughter looking for crabs.

Well, you know who we are.

Such a sweet big sister.

Grandad, M&M and Daddy.

One of many, many, many attempts to get Mimi with her 4 great-grandkids. It was comical trying to get these kids together and smiling!

Sweet baby girl in a precious dress.

Yep, that about sums it up. Thanks to my cousin for a yummy birthday cake!

Out of the Mouths of Babes

The funny and sweet things Mary-Michael is saying lately:
  • I wake up for morning! (typically the first thing she says when she comes down the stairs - yes she's getting out all on her own now - not sure what I think about that yet)
  • I do it all my byself (she switches the 'm' and 'b')
  • Daddy hold you? (which actually means, Daddy, will you hold me?)
  • I'm upaside down
  • We going to Chickala (Chick-fil-a)
  • I want some liptick (lipstick)
  • Can I get a poon? (spoon)
  • Baby Jesus in my heart. Baby Jesus in Frazier's heart? Sonar's (the dog) heart? Daddy's heart? Rico's (the cat) heart?
  • This baby Jesus music? (any time music comes on, she asks that)
  • You go time out! (this has only come out a few times because she got in big trouble after saying that to me!)
  • I'm Princess Daddy (Daddy's Princess)
She is also mimicking everything! When I put mousse in my hair, she gets her own dab, and she flips her head upside down just like I do. We have regular dance parties at the house and in the car, and she does every silly move that I do. She is a sponge! I have seen her do a few things that are not a good reflection of me, and it's scary!

We love you baby girl!

Frazier's 6 Month Check-Up

On Monday of this week, I took little man to the doctor. He had a great check-up minus the 3 shots, and he continued to spread smiles by smiling at anything that moved or paid attention to him. He is meeting his milestones and growing! His new skill of army crawling must be shedding some pounds because he didn't weigh as much as he thought I would!

Height - 27.5 inches (75%)
Weight - 18 lbs. 2.5 oz (56%)
Head - 46.3 cm or BIG (96%)

Happy Independence Day!

Many have fought for the freedoms we have today. We hope you were intentional about showing your patriotism for America and expressing gratitude for our freedoms by living your days to the fullest. We are blessed!

Rocking the red, white and blue!
